Downtown Knoxville Engagement | Kate & Jesse | Knoxville Engagement Photographer

The first time I spoke to Kate & Jesse about their wedding they said they were wanting a downtown feel, hence their Pressroom wedding this fall, and when they opened my website and saw the downtown shots on my home page they new they found the right photographer. This made my heart so so happy! This is exactly what I was hoping to hear when I designed my website and as I have been updating images over time. As a couple you want to find a photographer you immediately feel a connection with, whether it’s via images or conversation. And as a photographer… you want the same thing with your couples!

We weren’t sure if it was going to downpour rain on us during their session or not. And it did sprinkle some… thankfully I had a wedding planner friend of mine, Kenzie with I Do… Weddings, come along and help with umbrellas and such. We started with some cute covered images at The Oliver Royale on their patio, we hit up the location of their first date at Blackhorse Pub & Brewery, then traveled to Gay Street for the Tennessee Marquee, got ice cream at Cruze Farm, danced on the rooftop of Market Square garage, then ended laughing walking down the Gay Street Bridge.

SO. MUCH. FUN.

It barely rained the entire time… but it came a complete torrential downpour as soon as I was driving away from downtown. Talk about perfect timing!! Kate had said they would probably be awkward in front of the camera.. and she could not have been more wrong. They were cute, and loving, and silly, and it made it such a fun session. Their wedding this fall is going to be a blast!!
