You've made it this far into my site and I want to tell you a little bit about me as a portrait photographer! I approach each of my portrait sessions the same way. Whether the session is a senior session, a one year session, family, or a sweet couple I try and follow the same workflow. I begin with the posey-posey shot. The one you may want to gift to grandma in a frame. The one where everyone is looked and smiling. You gotta have a least one portrait with everyone at least looking! Then we get to more fun stuff. The stuff that really makes my heart happy! Next we go into what us photographers call "Lifestyle Photography". This is where I am still guiding you and the kiddos in what to do but it's focused on you all interacting and not necessarily looking at the camera. i.e.the walking shot, look and laugh at one another. To wrap up the session I love to finish with what we call "Documentary Photography". This is the time when I tell the kiddos they're done and they can play...but little do they know...my camera is still capturing them laughing and having fun! This is the time when I can get them candid and with genuine smiles, my favorite! I aim for my portrait photography to be thought of as storytelling. Rich in color, love, and laughter...I want these galleries to fully reflect the amazing people that are in them.
"A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people."
-Annie Leibovitz
