Paige & alex koldys

Does anyone else get major dreamy, fairy tale, romantic vibes just by looking at these first four images!?
Good...I'm glad it wasn't just me!

I first met Paige & Alex when Paige was the maid-of-honor at a previous wedding I photographed the year before. She was there the entire day with me and the bride seeing how I work a wedding day. As soon as she got engaged she booked me for her own day! They booked their venue pretty quickly and we were able to do their engagement photos there. We walked all around the property and talked about how the wedding would be set up. It was all coming together like she envisioned and was going to be beautiful! A few months later that venue, to no fault of their own, was forced to shut down. They had about 5-6 months to find a venue available on a Saturday in October! (If you're in the wedding industry then you knoooow how hard that is!)

They went and toured a few places that had their date open still but none of them were checking all the boxes for them. They wanted somewhere dreamy, giving them all the feels. They drove out to Sevierville, TN to visit the wedding venue, The Cardinal's Nest. The owner/coordinator there, Monica Fox, informed them that they HAD a wedding scheduled on their date buuuut it had been canceled! Paige's exact text to me when she was informing me of this new location was...

"We are going with The Cardinal's Nest for October 12th! It is gorgeous and the owner is so nice! Devon it was meant to be because the girl who had our date cancelled the same week we got cancelled. And it's their only open date for the whole year! I got chillbumps! lol"

At that point it was smooth sailing for the happy couple.  And for a wedding party of 16 people, including bride and groom, the day itself went flawlessly. The venue had everything we needed in close proximity, including two separate cabins for the guys and girls to get ready in. It was an overcast day with a slight chance of rain but there was no stress because their ceremony site is covered by a huge, gorgeous, open pavilion. And receptions are held in their spacious tent just a short walk away. Definitely a win win venue if you are wanting something outdoor but also with a pretty structure that protects you. I highly recommend them and inform all my couples who are looking for a venue like this one that they should definitely take a tour!
